Do you know that you can now renew your Malaysia passport online? Find out how to do it here.
Soon, queuing at the immigration department will be a thing of a past.
The Malaysian immigration department is setting up an online system to enable Malaysians to renew their passport without having to queue at the immigration office.
The web based system can be accessed even through mobile phone which makes it super convenient.
MyOnline Passport was made available from September 1 in the following location:
- UTC Pudu Sentral, Kuala Lumpur
- UTC Galleria@Kotaraya, Johor
Technically, all you have to do is to access the website, fill up all the necessary fields and select which office you would like to collect your passport from.
For instance, if you access it in Penang, you’re allowed to collect it from Putrajaya.
Currently there’s no detailed instructions on how to renew your passport online using the MyOnline Passport system yet, but as soon as the information is available you will find it here.
Payment can also be made online by using either a debit card or credit card.
I will do step-by-step instructions if possible.
This is really great and makes so much sense since we all live in a connected world.
