Getting an additional income aside from your monthly salary will help in many ways. This is why many people are trying to find ways on how earn extra income or even passive income especially in a big city like Kuala Lumpur. What are people currently doing in order to supplement their income? How can you earn extra income in KL?

Well, many people are now relying on the internet to research and reach their potential customers who may buy their products or services. Even if you don’t own a physical store or shop, you can still sell something over the internet. People are always searching for something on the internet so you should try to predict or be aware of what people are looking for.

Let me give you a brief summary on the most common channels used by people to sell their products or services:

Be a Personal Shopper using AirShoppr Mobile App

More and more people are now shopping for things online. However, not everything is sold online, international shipping is expensive and delivery is slow. However, by using AirShoppr app, shoppers are able to connect with travellers from around the world like you who can help them shop.

Travellers who help the shoppers are able to earn money simply by helping them buy and bring the item back to the country where the shopper is located. Details on how it works can be found here.

Sell on Facebook

Malaysia has one of the biggest Facebook users in the world so you should consider using this method of selling. The easiest way is to create a Facebook page and use Facebook ads to attract people to LIKE your Facebook page. If you have a product that is high in demand or already popular, it may be easier to sell. Otherwise, you may have to add some extra efforts and do some research on how to sell.

Here are some samples of Facebook pages I created:

Sell on Lelong.com.my or Mudah.my

These are third party websites which have high traffic. People go to these websites to find bargains or things which are not sold in physical shops. If you have unused stuff at home, you can try to list them out for free and possibly someone out there may want to purchase them from you. Finding a niche product to sell is the most ideal situation as you will have less competition.

Blog or own websites

This is my favourite method because having your own website also allows you to earn passive income, besides being the channel to sell your products or services. A blog can cover any topic but it has to be a niche in order for your website to be unique and different from other people’s.

This ensures that you website gets indexed by Google so if people are searching from something related to your product or services, you will be ranked on the first page of Google’s website. This may sound impossible if you’ve never done it before, but I can assure you that it can be done by applying the correct techniques.

Lucky for you, I coach people on how to start their own website/blog, how to sell something online and how to market using Facebook. Please be sure to join my official Facebook page to get free tips and tricks.
