Cyberjaya has come a long way. When it was first established in the late 1990’s, there’s nothing but oil palm estate there. However, now it’s becoming a vibrant and well planned city ready for the next century. The first ever shopping mall in Cyberjaya called DPulze, which sounds like ‘The Pulse’ was just opened for business. This is an addition to the recently opened IOI City Mall in Putrajaya in late November 2014.

DPulze Cyberjaya is located right in the centre of the city where HSBC, IBM and many other multinational coroporations are located. You can’t miss it as it’s currently one of the tallest buildings there. Right next to DPulze is also the budget Tune Hotel, so if you’re happen to stay at that hotel DPulze is just next to you.

When I was there yesterday the place was about 30-40% occupied. Many shops are still being renovated. One of the best supermarkets in town (in my opinion) – Jaya Grocer is opened and the size is just right. You no longer have to leave Cyberjaya to do your groceries. There are some cool looking cafes – Burger.Coffee and dal.komm Coffee.

MPH bookstore is also marking its presence in this intelligent city. My favourite hardware store Ace Hardware is quite big and selling plenty of interesting things as always.

There are plenty of restaurants opening up – the ones which are already opened are The Chicken Rice Shop, Pasta Zhanmai, a Korean buffet restaurant to mention a few. TGV Cinema will occupy one of the top floors but has yet to open. TGV is scheduled to open by June/July 2015 now opened.

The parking rate is RM1 for the first 2 hours.

This mall is expected to cater the growing population in Cyberjaya so that people who live and work there don’t need to commute too far to do their shopping, to dine or to watch a movie.
