In the news reported by Sinchew a couple of hours ago, the engine of Air Asia flight AK1519 from Taiwan’s Taipei Taoyuan airport en-route to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah caught fire.

The incident happened not long after the plane took off from Taiwan. There were 130 passengers on board and all are reported safe.

Flight AK1519 has a daily schedule and the flight takes approximately 3 hours.

There are no details at the moment we should be thankful that everyone is safe.
